Everybody has a unique story on how they came to know about TakingITGlobal (TIG). My story begins on a Sunday afternoon, in the beginning of April, when I stumbled upon a job posting for a position at TIG from my University’s career central website. The name ‘TakingITGlobal’ caught my attention instantaneously. When I read the name ‘TakingITGlobal’, I feel a sense of reassurance. It brought me great satisfaction to know that there are organizations, like TIG, who are taking action against various global issues that affect our world as a whole by giving young members an opportunity to voice their concerns. After furthering my investigation on TIG’s objectives and missions, I quickly became a fan of TIG.

TIG works to promote a sense of empowerment to youths all over the world by providing them with a virtual space to share stories, ideas and concerns to help facilitate a global movement. I spent the last few days reading up on all TIG’s accomplishments and I’m left speechless on how far this non-for-profit organization has grown to date. I am honoured to be given the opportunity to be a part of this team that has achieved so much since it first began in 1999.

After reading several publications made my TIG, I am motivated to make a change and I feel I can do so with the support from TIG and other youths all over the world.
